Quick Update...

Obviously we are NG at blogging...
We will try again...

Eloise Kayte Davis arrived after approximately 36 hours of labor including 2 1/2 hours of pushing.  It was worth every minute when Dr. Alarcon said "it's a beautiful baby girl".  We would have felt the same way if he had said boy : ).  She weighed 7 pounds, 6 ounces and was 19 inches long.  That was more than 2 years ago!  The first few months were happy and HARD!  We would do it all over again!

Since then we have celebrated 3 Halloween's, 3 Thanksgivings, 2 Christmas, and 2 New Years.  Matt and I have gotten older, but better.  We have both lost more than 50 pounds and are enjoying a much healthier lifestyle and smaller clothing.  Ellie Kayte is now around 30 pounds and almost 36 inches at her 2 year well check.  She wears clothing size 3T and size 8 shoes.  She loves babies, both real and dolls.  She eats almost anything, we worked hard not to allow her to be a picky eater, edamame is currently her favorite food.  She loves to play outside.  She likes to play with balls and bubbles.  She has recently began throwing BIG, UGLY, DANGEROUS (for us) tantrums.  She has a mind of her own and isn't afraid to let you know what she thinks and how she feels.  She uses a MLU of 6 (speech therapy talk for she is way above average in speech and language).  She is never quiet!

That brings us to what prompted this update...
We are now living in Japan!  We were given this opportunity on Ellie Kayte's first birthday and Matt moved in August 2013.  Ellie Kayte and mommy followed in November 2013.  Most of you reading this, or who need to know, know all the details in between.  Hopefully, we can now update you weekly (at a minimum) with pictures and information about what we are doing in Hamamatsu, Japan.
